Presented by the Mission Neighborhood Centers, in May San Francisco celebrates Cinco de Mayo at Dolores Park between 18th and 20th street. The festival provides a wide variety of social services through quality programs that promote self-sufficiency and community growth for the Mission District's low-income residents through programs such as Head Start, Youth Development and Senior Services.
All day on the Saturday it falls on, there will be free health screening including blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol testing with onsite results and referrals. Free health tools are given away to adults and children throughout the day. There will be Health, Education and Going Green sections featuring non-profits and retail vendors with traditional/culture arts/craft/food vendors. This event is alcohol-free so bring the whole family to enjoy the sun in an amazing park.
