The Coastal Trail in San Francisco connects some of the greatest tourist attractions and the most scenic natural and man-made landscapes in the world.  The the California Coastal Trail stretching 10.5 miles you can visit the great attractions such as The Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point which is a Civil War fort, the Presidio, the Palace of the Legion of Honor and the Sutro Gardens.  From there you can go to the historic Cliff House, Ocean Beach, stroll through Golden Gate Park and Fort Funston.
